heart talks

I want to never forget this.

"your call and destiny is etched in God. it's not at all based on who you're connected to or how leaders or whatever view you. but it's written on your heart from when you were born. and you aren't limited to your folks... you've got greatness irrevocably etched on your life. that's how God's made you. and nothing can scrub that out"
- the favourite.

heart break.

On Monday, my best friend and the one that I thought I would love forever told me that he didn't want to be with me.

In other words, he completely shattered my heart.

I don't know how to recover from this.

I already miss him so so so much.

I don't know what my world looks like without him in it.

Currently reading Blue Like Jazz, and I can honestly say that I'm more than enjoying it.
In fact, I'm struggling to put it down.

Here's a little quote:

"I know a little of why there is blood in my body, pumping life into my limbs and thought into my brain. I am wanted by God. He is wanting to preserve me, to guide me through the darkness of the shadow of death, up into the highlands of His presence and afterlife. I understand that I am temporary, in this shell of a thing on this dirt of an earth. I am being tempted by Satan, we are all being tempted by Satan, but I am preserved to tell those who do not know about our Saviour and our Redeemer."

"I am a human because God made me. I experience suffering and temptation because mankind chose to follow Satan. God is reaching out to me to rescue me. I am learning to trust Him, learning to live by His precepts that I may be preserved."
- Donald Miller, Blue Like Jazz.
I really love that a lot.

I'm a big fan of watching the sunset.. in fact, it's been a good five months or so since I started watching it every single day that I can.
Sunrises though, are certainly a bit harder to come by; main reason being I'm simply too lazy to get up early enough.
So I'm way way happy that I actually got out of bed and saw this.

This was one magic day in the skies.

1. sunrise from my flat rooftop
2. double rainbow on the other side of the sky of the sunrise
3. sunset from the front of my house
This was also the day I went to a job interview and was offered the position right away.
Doing book-keeping & basic accounting; first step in many steps towards the dream..
That's right, I now work for my church.
Also the same night that a bunch of us went over to my senior pastors house & he cooked up a laska feast for us all.
So many favourites.
So many laughs.
So many priceless moments.
I am blessed.

Mandurah city has been very kind to me this year..

Today, Z & I were bored and decided to be not-bored together... resulting in an imprompu visit to Mandurah!

So good to be able to hang out and spend time with such a quality friend.. and not have to worry about anything else!

(english candy store)

(coffee at Cafe Pronto... great coffee)

(distance to dream city)

(war memorial.. we walked through the entire thing and read off the pillars, some of the words were so beautiful)
(mandurah town)
(sunset on the war memorial)
dream day :)

Have fallen in LOVE with this place.

The Roastery
Shop 2, 1 Holmes St (cnr. Warton Rd)
Southern River WA 6110
Open Ev

They serve amazing coffee every time I go,
they roast all their beans on site,
and they home-make all their sweets!

I haven't even mentioned the lovely atmosphere..
It's located in Southern River, right next to Canning Vale.
But still, the instant you walk in, you feel as if you're on holiday down south somewhere.

It's like an afternoon vacation.
Every. Single. Time.

Did I mention the amazing coffee every time?
Million times better than Dome across the street :P

The only sad thing is that they're not open in the evenings.
So if you're ever in the area, definitely stop by!
You may very well find me there :)
